What is it?

One of the products available to Employers to help get the most out of vanpooling is our Commute Cluster Analysis. Through a Cluster Analysis, our staff can provide you with a series of maps that highlight the home origin points of each of your employees at a particular work site. These maps provide a graphical representation of where these employees live in relation to work. This information allows you and our staff to work together efficiently to target clusters of employees who fit the vanpool profile allowing us to promote ridesharing more effectively.

How does it work?

By utilizing customized software, our trained staff can take your employee database and geocode (assign a latitude and longitude coordinate) each employee record. Once the record receives its geocode, it's plotted on a map. The software then clusters groups of employees and identifies likely vanpool candidates. All of this information is plotted on a series of maps. These maps provide you with a detailed overview of where your employees live in relation to work. Other maps identify potential vanpool groups. All of the output is labeled and records are easily identified for reference.

What's required to get started?

Your employee database. Accurate geocoding requires the use of employee's street address, city, state and zip code. Employee names and telephone numbers aren't necessarily needed to complete the process - so the information is anonymous. Any data supplied to us is handled in a confidential manner. We'll even return the database to you after we've done the Commute Cluster Analysis if you wish.

Will it really form new vanpools?

A Commute Cluster Analysis turns a mass of data into a visual display that's easy to comprehend. Being able to show an employee the relationship between their home and work destination and the fellow employee's that share similar commutes everyday is a powerful selling tool.

What's the cost?

The fee we charge is based on several variables but averages less than a buck an employee.
